New Commission proposal to minimise the climate impacts of biofuel production
The Commission published a proposal to limit global land conversion for biofuel production, and raise the climate benefits of biofuels used in the EU. The use of food-based biofuels to meet the 10% renewable energy target of the Renewable Energy Directive will be limited to 5%.

CLIMATLANTIC project presents its results to the European Commission
Brussels, 2th October 2012.- After two years of intense work, the project CLIMATLANTIC is close to its conclusion. As part of its communication strategy, experts from the five countries of the Atlantic Area that are part of the project presented the achieved results at a seminar organized at the Permanent Representation of Portugal in Brussels.
